So I have to write a review because I've been wanting to check out this place since it first opened but have been deterred by all the negative reviews on this site. First off, I just want to say I had a very pleasant dining experince here with a young lady friend. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and seated and ordered a sprite right away. Though service was initially a little bit slow, it picked up and the waiter did agreat job of constantly checking on my date and I to make sure we had everything we needed as dinner progressed. I ordered the jumbulaya which was pretty tasty and had a good mix of chicken, sausage, and shrimp. My date had a bowl of gumbo which I have to say looked and smelled amazing. Both of our orders took about 15 minutes to receive . Overall, I give the place fthree and half to four stars and recommend others to give it a try and take the bad reviews on this site with a grain of salt because you may miss out on this special place.
